We were asked to create an ad for Shields sponsorship of Rugby World Cup 2015 and the Springboks. The ad focuses on Thebe, one of Sowetos most passionate Boks fans. We follow his journey across Soweto with his set of ladders, as he rushes to watch his beloved Boks play. The destination is his local Shebeen, where he’ll watch the game with friends from the best seats in the house. Shot by Andrew Lang, it captures the rawness and colour of Soweto, as well as the excitement and immense passion South African fans feel for Rugby.
